8th Grade Campus Visits

On April 12, FPS eighth grade students and their school counselor, Ms. Amy Hottovy, enjoyed visits to the Southeast Community College-Lincoln and Concordia University campuses. Funded by a grant through EducationQuest, the experience allowed students to see what programs are offered at the institutions, explore potential careers, and observe the similarities and differences between a community college and university. 

Besides enjoying an all-you-can-eat lunch in a college cafeteria, the students also observed a surgical tech lab, welding and automotive spaces, a student-run restaurant, an E-sports lab, and many other college classrooms and components. FPS thanks SCC, Concordia, and EducationQuest for this wonderful opportunity!
