County Government Day 2024

Saline County Government Day 2024

Wednesday, March 20th the Senior American Government class attended Saline County Government Day in Wilber.  This event was sponsored by the American Legion and Legion Auxiliary units from the county.  The day started with introductions by Scott Davis, Saline County Veterans Service Officer and a welcome from 1st District Judge David Bargen.  Students were assigned an office in the Saline County Government to start the day. The students spent two hours completing a scavenger hunt that took them to several of the county offices to find answers to questions concerning the various county offices.  Lunch was served at the American Legion Hall in Wilber.  After lunch students had an opportunity to hear a National Guard presentation, play the Saline County Jeopardy Quiz game and visit the Saline County Jail.  Those seniors attending included:

Aaliyah Cook, Laura Casper, Jordon Lawver, Jake Leif, Preston Knollenberg, and Halona Wootton.
