I am originally from St. Paul, Nebraska where I grew up on a farm. I attended Doane College for my undergrad and continued on receiving 2 Masters degrees from Doane as well.  

I began my teaching career in Madison, Nebraska.  I taught there for five years before meeting my wife and moving to Louisville and teaching at Omaha Central High School for eight years.  After receiving my masters in educational leadership, I spent the next five years in Fairbury as the assistant principal/AD and as principal.  

My wife Paula and I have four children, Dane (13), Devin (10), Dylan (7) and Julia (5).  We are a family of readers and enjoy diving into books.  

Paula and I love to get our hands dirty.  Paula plants the flowers while I tend to enjoy fruits and veggies.  

This is my third year as superintendent and I am looking forward to continuing the rich tradition of strong education for Friend Public Schools.
