The Sam Shutts Memorial Scholarship is established to provide support for a Friend Public School senior who is accepted to and attends a college to pursue a career in any of the following areas:
- a trade such as construction, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.
- technology
- agronomy
- computer technology
The applicant does not have to plan to attend SCC or a community college to apply for this scholarship.
Students planning to attend Nebraska Wesleyan or Kansas State University are encouraged to apply.
Friend Public School seniors may access the application via their school email.
