Hello, and welcome! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Amy Wiese and I am one of two Special Education teachers at the elementary school. I have lived in Friend since July of 2015, and enjoy living in such a wonderful community! Prior to our move, my husband and I lived in Lincoln, where I taught at Lincoln Public Schools for seven years. My husband, Jake, is the 9-12 English teacher, and we share a home with our two crazy, fun-loving dogs, and our 17 year old cat. My husband and I love to spend time with our families and pets! We also enjoy traveling, and spend our summers making at least one trip to the mountains to camp and relax. Reading (I am a book junkie!), music, coffee, and Chinese food are just four of my many favorites! :)
I love working with children of all ages and abilities! I learn something new from them everyday, and it is my hope they continue to learn from me as well! Each year, I look forward to working with parents and students in helping to ensure that this is their best school year yet! I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage parents to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can send me a note, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call up to the school.
Here is to a wonderful school year! -Mrs. Wiese :)
